I Like....

Peeping In - Paul Massey

You can imagine my excitment when I discovered that the man who is responsible for one of my favourite kitchens of all time has opened his home to 'Living Etc' so now I get to fall in love with the entire home.

Small Problem...

Our fabulous new fridge arrived this morning - delivered by a lovely man nice and early so I wouldn't miss any work.  So far so good.
Turns out it doesn't fit through the front door!!!

And no, before you ask, it doesn't fit through any other door either!

Project Feast

Please welcome Lori! She has a creative blog, life is this. Go check it out for more awesome projects.

Today we are feasting on Lori's wonderful creations! First up we have a layout which combines Moonrise with a hint of Monsterville. No joke! Isn't this lovely?Using the neutral colors from the line is such a smart way to incorporate other colors. The pink adds a nice pop.

Check out this beautiful butterfly detail.

Next we have another Moonrise layout. This one shows off the colors we traditionally associate with Moonrise. Lori's all about the details here - a little ink, stitching, paper curl...

For dessert we have a Moonrise card. The lined paper behind the sentiment is from the sticky note pad.

Now we hope you are filled with plenty of great ideas inspired by Lori. Which of these ideas would you like to use on your next project?

December Calendar Page

Ready for our final calendar page? We hope you have enjoyed having a layout idea and calendar page each month. To see the whole year in calendar pages go here.

To create this page, you will need a Kris Kringle assortment pack, die-cut accents, dimensional elements, and felt.

Did any of you keep up and do a scrapbook page each month this year?

Christmas Bunting

One of my so-called friends has been teasing me shamelessly about my intention to make Christmas bunting.  Well little Miss Smarty Pants, not only am I going to... I've already started and VERY SOON you will eat your words!
While I am waiting for that moment, here are some other people's Christmas bunting...

R.I.P. Fridge

I think we must have put the evil eye on our fridge as it has suddenly decided it doesn't have any interest in being cold any longer.  Surfer Boy tried to weave his particular brand of magic but to no avail - he got the freezer working again and although the firidge is now cool it is far from cold.
Looks like we're making a purchase tomorrow.

I'm leaning towards the side-by-side variety due to our family's unnatural liking for ice-cream.  We never seem to have a freezer big enough so, short of getting a seperate one, this may be the answer.

I've also decided that I want my fridge to be white.  If I can't have an industrial fridge (lack of space) then I want a white one, that can handle reams of artwork and birthday party invites without hindering it's mojo.

I think this one might be the winner..

Halloween

I just realised I never shared any of the Halloween photos - the kids had an absolute ball and we ended up with 58 people at one point!  I'm looking forward to hosting Halloween next year when hopefully the house will be a little larger!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope you are having a wonderful day with family and friends. Remember to take plenty of pictures!

Audrey created some beautiful layouts with the Moonrise collection. We hope these pages will inspire your autumn and Thanksgiving scrapbook pages.

"For my first layout, 'She Loved Fall', I cut out the large orange flowers and brown leaves from the patterned paper and layered them behind my matted photo. There are two strips behind the photo, the green one which I cut from the paper and the white one which I used a border punch on. I stitched around the edge of my page with brown thread to frame it. Also, I used some distress ink on a piece of orange paper and glue the metal leaf over it and cut it out."

This photo is from her family heritage. We especially like the meaningful journaling.

This is another meaningful layout created by Audrey. We thought this would be the perfect day to share it with you.

"My 2nd layout, 'Gathering', I also fussy cut some flowers and added gold brads to the orange ones. I punched the striped paper with a border punch and pleated and stitched it to the page. I made a visual triangle with the green tab, the green leaf, and the green in the stripes strip."

Happy Thanksgiving!

WINDOWS

And so it begins!
We've started to get a flurry of emails from our architect wanting us to decide on various elements of the house.  Unfortunately I was so sure that this renovation would never get the go-ahead that I completly blanked it from my mind so as to save myself from crushing disappointment.
Now I have to let her know what windows we want for each room and so the googleing begins...
