Wednesday Wedding - Yee Ha!

I don't think it's any secret why I love this wedding!  All it took were the girls in boots to hook me.  The red truck certainly helped as did the fabulous colour of those frocks!

While We're On Campers....

via Red Ticking

What I wouldn't give to be on a summer holiday with Surfer Boy in this van - this is my idea of perfection - it even has fairy lights!

Vintage Lovelies

I've been looking for new gift cards for CHALK and I stumbled across these beauties with the aide of Google.  Not what I was looking for but I couldn't resist sharing them with you.

On the Coast + Calendar Page

It has been a busy month! We have been having so much fun with projects, giveaways, and guests. Now it is time to catch up on some traditions we started. First, it is time to formally introduce our latest collection, On the Coast. It is now available to purchase on-line!

Take a trip to the coast with this mix of calming and bright patterns. Walk along the beach and watch the glittering sand reveal sand dollars and starfish or cut through the lively tropical foliage. Feel a soft breeze while a glimmering school of fish dives in the great ocean waves. It's what summer fun and relaxing is all about! Our On the Coast scrapbooking collection will bring the wonderful feelings of summer into all your scrapbook layouts and paper crafting projects.

Here's another tradition we started. We have designed a scrapbook layout for each month this year and a coordinating calendar page.

3rd Thursday - On the Coast

Club SEI's July kit features On the Coast. We love the diversity of projects in this kit - a mini album, photo display, party favor pockets, plenty of unique cards... There is something for everyone! Click here to see what club members can make with this kit. If you aren't a club member, you can still sign-up and receive this kit. If you are a club member, see what our guest blogger Nancy made with her kit.

This fun island attire was made with some of the contents of the kit. Happy 3rd Thursday!

Bower Birding - Help!

One of the things Surfer Boy and I have in common is our love of treasure hunting - by this I mean scouring op. shops, bric-a-brac. and hard rubbish, not the stuff pirates bury.
The last time we were down at the beach house it was hard rubbish day and for most of the weekend we were astonishingly restrained.  It was not until we had walked past this little beauty a number of times that we looked at each other and nodded - we couldn't resist.  It is times like these that I love the fact that S.Boy drives a Ute.

Home it came and now for the life of us we can't decide what to do with it.  The top 2/3 are mesh and the top opens up a little like a rabbit hutch.  If you have any suggestions as to what we can do with it / how we can use it I'd love to hear them, please!

Wednesday Wedding - Camper

Who wouldn't want a caravan styled wedding?  Not only could you get ready in the van, there is not far to stumble to after the reception.  I wonder if they did spend their wedding night in the van?  Aren't the invites great!  They set up the mood of the wedding perfectly.

Pics from here.

We make a good pair + Giveaway

I don't know if you've heard but we do fabric too! Robert Kaufman sells some of our favorite designs in the prettiest fabrics that you'll just love cutting up and making new things with.

A few weeks ago they featured the Eerie Alley fabrics on their blog, the Swatch & Stitch. We thought we ought to do the same!

Maria made an adorable Halloween trick-or-treating bag complete with a puffy spider on the front! How cute is he? The eyes are monster iron-ons. We also think you should personalize yours! That way no fussy kids about whose bag is whose.

I made pumpkins following this fabulous tutorial. They would be great to stack high by a door or make lots of little ones for a table display. Treats around the projects are all embellishments from Eerie Alley. Candy not included, sorry!

I know you want to make projects out of this too! Well, the fine folks over at RK sent over one-yard cuts for two lucky winners! To enter the giveaway, leave a comment telling us what you would do with your frightening fabrics if you won. This giveaway will close on Saturday, June 26th at 11:59 pm. We'll announce the two winners Monday when we show you even more fabric projects.

Congrats!

We hope you enjoyed Nancy and her amazing work as much as we did! Doesn't she have a fantastic eye for composition and color? Plus she's just a super cool girl. We were lucky to have her!

The Winner of the July Club SEI kit that Nancy featured friday is...

Janell!

Hooray! We hope you love this kit and all the fun patterns that go with it. Now, if you didn't win you can still head over to Club SEI and sign up for one of your very own. (It's like Christmas every month!)

Autumn Leaves for My Birthday

This gorgeous woman was painted by englishman J.H. Lynch in the mid 60's and thanks to my fabulous husband, and a birthday, she is now gracing my wall.  I have fallen in love with her and have been wondering what has made her a little sad.
There are more of these lucious woman painted by Mr Lynch and I have a feeling they may become my new obsession.
