All Grown Up!

God I love Face Book - Last night I found one of my students from Trinity Grammar.
Edward was in Grade 3 when I taught him and he's just turned 19 years old!  Holy shit - where did that time go?
In the course of catching up I discovered he is studying graphic design and and he offered to make me a movie poster of my choice - can you imagine my excitment?!  There was only one choice for me - GREASE 2 and the sweet boy was too polite to scoff at me.

I came home from work today to discover that he has already done it and it is amazing.  I absolutely love it and can't wait to have it framed for the new house.

Not only is it a unique portrayal of one of my favourite movies but it has been made by a boy who I spent a year of my life with and quite frankly adored.  He was a gorgeous boy and it looks like he's turned into a lovely man.
Thank you so much Edward!

It's Never The End Of The World

I can't believe we actually lost! Well I can believe it as I am a supporter who lived through the '80s and survived loss after loss with the wooden spoon usually the only reward. I am so proud of the Saints and although sad, I'm so impressed with my team.
Go Saints.

Now to really perk up my day - GREASE is on. No matter how often I watch it I can't help but get sucked in all over again. Thank you channel seven

I've just been catching up on all the Twitter I have missed since being away and wanted to show you Miley's new Twitter icon. I think it is a fabulous picture and although it doesn't show up when it is small, enlarged it is a ripper.

What do you think?

Grease 2 is 25!!

Some of you may not realise that this month we celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest movies of all time .....

What is not to love about this fantastic musical? 1982 saw a 23 year old Michelle Phieffer team up with Maxwell Caulfield and sing and dance her way into our hearts with such classics as - 'We're Gonna Score tonight', 'Cool Rider', and 'Reproduction'.

If any of you can listen to 'Cool Rider' and not want to be the cool Stephanie Zenoni then there is no hope for you.

If you really want to know

What I want in a guy...

Well, I'm lookin' for a dream on a mean machine

With hell in his eyes.

I want a devil in skin tight leather,

And he's gonna be wild as the wind.

And one fine night, I'll be holdin' on tight...

To a coooool rider, a coooool rider.

If he's cool enough,

He can burn me through and through.

Whhoa ohhhh If it takes forever,

Then I'll wait forever.

No ordinary boy,No ordinary boy is gonna do.

I want a rider that's cool.

I found this fabulous fan site so check it out for your Rydell High fix.
