3rd Thursday: Bookshelf

One thing we LOVE about Club SEI is all the great ideas. Every kit has instructions that spark creativity. Plus, there is an on-line gallery full of alternate projects and ways to use your leftover supplies. Today we want to share a couple more ideas, perfect for gift-giving.

This first one is great for moms or girlfriends. We decided to take the adorable caddie that comes with the kit and switch it up. We made our own flower embellishment for the front. Then we filled the caddie with some of our favorite things, wrapped in pretty paper bands. Simply wrap a plain potted plant to make it special. Done!

The second project idea is great for grads, dads, or anyone who likes money :). We used some origami techniques for this one. You can find the instructions for the money frames here and the take-out box here. The recipient of this box is sure to have great fortune!

Father's Day Gifts

It's June and that means Father's Day is just around the corner. Here are some gifts & packages we made using a few of the products featured in our newsletter. The card on the left is pretty simple but it is large enough that we placed a 5 x 7 photo inside and still had plenty of room down the side for a message. We loved making the little boxes and bags to stuff with treats or gift cards. Sometimes 3-D projects can seem intimidating but they can be a lot of fun. One nice thing about making your own gift box is you can make it fit your gift perfectly, like the tie box.

If you need an inexpensive gift, Mandi has the perfect solution. She put together a little activity booklet and even provided you with all the pages. All you need to do is print out the pages you want, fold your favorite paper in half for the cover, and staple the pages inside. Click here to download the cover, page 1, page 2, page 3 & page 4.
