Wall-E (afkorting voor Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth-Class) vertelt het verhaal van een eenzame maar heel toegewijde robot die reeds gedurende 700 jaar de door de mensen verlaten aarde schoonmaakt. Deze animatiefilm is geschreven en geregisseerd door Academy Award-winnaar Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), geproduceerd door Jim Morris, gecoproduceerd door Lindsey Collins en bevat orginele geluidsbewerkingen van Academy Award-winnaar Ben Burtt (bekend van Star Wars, Indiana Jones en E.T.). De muziek is van de hand van Thomas Newman, die ook de muziek voor Finding Nemo schreef.
Op de gewone DVD staan als extra’s : commentaar van director Andrew Stanto, de shortfilm Burn-E, delete scenes, Sneak Peek: Wall-E's Tour of the Universe en Animated Sound Design - Building Worlds from the Sound Up.
Op de 3-disc versie vind je naast alles van de gewone DVD nog enkele extra delete scenes, The Pixar story by Leslie Iwerks, BnL Shorts - Amusing peek into the inner workings of the Buy n Large Corporation en Wall-E's Treasures and Trinket, Lots of Bots-storybook, making of featurettes, Bot Files en een digitale kopie van de film.
